Discover KindergartenInstructor: Holly Salamun 1 weeks "We are Discover Camp! Mighty, mighty Discover Camp!" Your entering kindergarten child will gleefully jump in learning camp cheers and songs as they happily move through the warm summer days discovering how fun camp can be. Getting your child ready for kindergarten is our goal. Every week camp will have a new theme to stimulate imaginations; Tropical Paradise, Pirates and Treasure Hunts, Where the Wild Things Are, and Outdoor Adventures. We'll dream up projects and activities including scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, moovin' n groovin', yoga, ooey gooey cooking, listening skills, and projects galore, your child will learn skills needed in kindergarten all while having the time of their lives. Every week we will have a "Special Guest' to entertain them, pirates, puppets, Tim Cain and Christopher Smith are just a few. Every Friday is "Splish Splash Day", with wading pools, water slides, and jumpees providing the perfect ending to each week. Please bring a snack and a lunch or advance purchase from Woodland. Discover Kindergarten Camp is lead by two highly skilled preschool teachers from our year round staff. Susan Belway has been the Director of the Ross Rec Preschool for 14 years and works closely with the kindergarten teachers to prepare children for their kindergarten year. Susan's fun and playful songs will bring lasting memories. Holly Salamun, of "Holly Go Lightly Yoga", brings a fresh and energetic spark to the program, integrating arts and crafts, yoga, sports and many creative ideas. Camp Imagine's (1st-2nd Gr) leaders, Marty Ross, a popular Bacich Kindergarten teacher and Jessica Meyers, the Ross School PE teacher will be collaborating with Susan and Holly and combining camps at times during the day for some fantastic fun times! |

Soccer Coaches Clinic - FreeInstructor: Jean Marc Shafer 1 weeks So that more children can be involved in our Saturday games, we are requesting parents to sign up as coaches when they register their child. Jean Marc will provide a free coaches clinic on Saturday, September 18th to help you understand the strategy, drills and team play skills. We will have games Saturday mornings. Soccer KindergartenInstructor: Jean Marc Shafer 9 weeks This instructional program emphasizes the basic skills in passing, dribbling, shooting, trapping, heading, and tactics, for both offensive and defensive play. Parents are essential for Saturday morning coaching. Saturday games will be September 25-November 13. Each child receives an official team soccer shirt. NextStep Soccer AdvancedInstructor: Dan & Meg Ferrando 9 weeks These sessions are for our K-2nd grades who have been participating in Dan's NextStep Soccer for at least 2 years. Our focus will be on foot skills, trapping, and passing. We will be playing small sided games where the children will be taught to work together as a team. Shin guards, soccer shoes and black shorts and a NextStep Soccer shirt are required and will be enforced. Please bring an adequate amount of water and an eagerness to learn |

doodlebug K-1 Creativity CampInstructor: doodlebug staff 1 weeks You've probably already become involved in the world of art - but this is your chance to develop stronger abilities and a lot more confidence. Hilary will help you learn to build clay masterpieces and glaze them for firing. We'll do some drawing and painting as well as decoupage, mosaics and collage. Each camp will be a bit different as we "go" with the interests of the participants - and each day we'll take a break to have a (you-bring-it) snack and a story. Come to meet new friends or bring along a buddy - we know you'll enjoy your special week. |

Holly Go Lightly YogaInstructor: Holly Salamun 1 weeks This yoga class is wonderful for any child who wants to explore the world of yoga. Yoga is a system of living that includes exercises for the mind, body and soul. It is a connection to live with love-based values and encourages self-respect and respect for others. It is a way of life. The classes focus on meditation, storytelling, games, music, and fundamental yoga. It increases concentration, growing strong physically and mentally and helps to explore their inner-self. Yoga also helps to release energy in a safe and health promoting way. |

California TreasuresInstructor: Sharon Heron 1 weeks Do you know what our state bird and butterfly look like? Join in on the fun as we explore the gardens in search of California's treasures flapping, buzzing and flying through the air, crawling on the ground and growing in the gardens. We will learn about our state's treasures through games, art projects, and garden explorations - including a treasure hunt! This is always a full and fun camp at MAGC. Big Bug CampInstructor: Marnie Mouse 1 weeks The Marin Art & Garden Center will provide a super back-drop for a week of exploring the nature around us and also exploring a variety of creative materials and methods. All of our projects will be nature-themed-from birdhouses to birdbaths, wind-chimes to watercolor flowers - this will be doodlebug with an artistic eye on Mother Nature. We know that you'll appreciate the skills you learn - and the fun you'll have, while you learn to add your own inspired creative touch to the great outdoors! Bring snack, lunch and a water bottle. |

Pollen PartyInstructor: Rebecca Rabbit 1 weeks Did you know that creatures like bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, wasps, and bats help make our food by carrying pollen from flower to flower? During this week we'll play games, learn about flowers, fruits, and seeds, search for bees and butterflies, taste honey, and celebrate by snacking on some of the fruits of the pollinators' labors. We also create art projects that will help us remember the lessons we learned while having tons of fun at MAGC. Please provide a snack, a lunch, and a water bottle for your child. |

Coerver Soccer CampInstructor: Ron Benjamin & Staff 1 weeks The Coerver method is the most widely recognized skills method in the world. Every player will master space and attacking moves under low pressure situations. After they are mastered, each player has a chance to focus on the moves under high pressure in a game situation atmosphere through small sided games. Bring sunscreen, water and a snack. Bring your own soccer ball, cleats, and indoor shoes. Directed by Ron Benjamin (director of Coerver Soccer Camp in Northern California and has been director of Central Marin Competitive Soccer Club, Marin F.C., & Varsity Girls coach at Marin Catholic High School. Children arranged in age and skill appropriate groups. |
