Adventure Camp

Instructor: Jean Marc Schafer, Sandrick Jackson, Jeff Rosen, Jenny Dickinson
1 weeks
This year, Adventure Camp is undergoing some fun and exciting new changes, which means some fun and exciting new destinations! Some of the favorites remain, like Driven Raceway, Six Flags and Water World. But new adventures await your camper at locations like: Oakland Ice Rink, EpiCenter, Rebounderz, Sonoma Ropes and Zip Line, and the awesome Paintball Jungle. We will be adding in a throwback trip to Angel Island as well. Wednesdays are now a home-base day for some on-site camp fun and to provide a mid-week break from traveling. Scavenger hunts, water fights, relay races, local hiking and fishing outings, massive slip and slides and mini olympic tournaments will keep the fun going. Pizza lunch is included on these home-base Wednesdays!
On travel days, campers will divide into small groups for our fun-filled days based on their age and interests. Whether your child is 8 or 15 years old, this is a great place to meet friends and enjoy adventures which take them to all the places they dream of going. This is an extremely popular and very unique camp where "we know your name," and know how to spend our summer days to the fullest!
We have Marin's best, most fun and highly experienced camp counselors led by Jean Marc Schafer, rounding out the Adventure Camp experience. Our core summer counselor staff are ALL returning for another amazing summer: Sandrick, Jeff, and Jenny are excited to get their summer on! Are you?
Just ask the kids that return year after year (including most of the counselors who were once our campers) how much they LOVE this camp!
*Please pick up children promptly by the time stated on the schedule. On Fridays, please pick up your child at 1pm at the COM pool*

**PERMISSION SLIPS (some trips require an extra permission slip) MUST be completed and in our office AT LEAST 1 WEEK prior to your child attending camp.**
Bring a snack, sunscreen and a lunch except on Wednesdays, and field trip days where lunch is included (see calendar).
Trips subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.

FirstStepSoccer

Instructor: Dan Ferrando
7 weeks
This is where young aspiring soccer players come for their first soccer experience in our "FirstStepSoccer" Program. Here, they are challenged with fun drills requiring them to think on their own (decision-making), and use both feet (insides, outsides and bottoms). All drills are age-appropriate and achievable and intended to boost their confidence. When confidence is built, our students are inspired to take on the "NextStep." We know athletes develop more quickly in small groups, which allows for more individual attention.
Remember to wear your black shorts, socks, cleats and shin guards - and bring a water bottle!
At NextStepSoccer Academy, we require each student to show proper behavior on and off the field. We strongly believe in developing their soccer skills, but know "life-skills" will benefit them throughout their lives.
Dan Ferrando is the owner of NextStep Soccer Academy. He has played in Germany, at USF, coached Drake High School boys, Select Class 3 and Select Class 1. 8 wks. No class: 4/10.
