Holly Hoppin' Summer Camp

Instructor: Holly Salamun
1 weeks
This is a mixed-age camp available for all children. These super fun summer days will have a great mix of awesome activities in small groups as well as cool choice time options (like riding a bike or roller skates!) This will be an inspiring environment where children have the opportunity to explore, create, discover and nurture their unique attributes. Children will fill their leisurely and creative days with:
-Nature walks and outdoor adventuring
-Games, sports, yoga and free play in the gym
-Music: singing and dancing
-Cooking/baking
-Arts and crafts and creative experiments
-Water play!
This is a family oriented camp, with the older children acting as mentors for the younger, with developmental benefits for both. We believe the multi-age classroom provides a strong foundation and a richer and a well-rounded educational experience. The younger campers will have the opportunity to learn from and look up to the older campers, who will intuitively lead and influence the younger. It is a wonderful camp experience for all ages!
*Wear sunscreen, bring a snack, hearty lunch, and water bottle each day.

Maker Labs Classic

Instructor: Nat Davis and Staff
1 weeks
Carpentry/RC Car Machines and Mechanics: Two educational programs are teaming up to bring a full day (9am-2pm) of project based learning and fun! Each day in Maker Labs Classic, your child will have a 2 hour session of both carpentry and RC car machines and mechanics. Students may choose projects from examples, or use their imaginations to invent and design something. Bring a lunch and water bottle daily. All tools and materials are included in the enrollment fee.
Carpentry for Kids is designed to teach boys and girls practical woodworking skills with an emphasis on the safe use of hand tools. In the process of learning these skills, students will be exposed to a variety of valuable concepts, and will have the opportunity to make fun, functional, and beautiful projects to bring home.
In RC Car Machines and Mechanics students will learn to operate, maintain and repair radio control cars. Professional electric RC race cars, all tools and materials for maintaining and repairing the cars, and materials for building custom racetracks are on hand. Race car parts are interchangeable; when cars wreck or parts break from wear and tear, we have a valuable opportunity to learn mechanical and engineering concepts, through hands on experience working with tools, and electrical circuits.
Nat Davis and his team are passionate about project based learning, and have been teaching practical skills to K-8 for over 15 years.

Adventure Camp

Instructor: Jean Marc Schafer, Sandrick Jackson, Jeff Rosen, Jenny Dickinson
1 weeks
This year, Adventure Camp is undergoing some fun and exciting new changes, which means some fun and exciting new destinations! Some of the favorites remain, like Driven Raceway, Six Flags and Water World. But new adventures await your camper at locations like: Oakland Ice Rink, EpiCenter, Rebounderz, Sonoma Ropes and Zip Line, and the awesome Paintball Jungle. We will be adding in a throwback trip to Angel Island as well. Wednesdays are now a home-base day for some on-site camp fun and to provide a mid-week break from traveling. Scavenger hunts, water fights, relay races, local hiking and fishing outings, massive slip and slides and mini olympic tournaments will keep the fun going. Pizza lunch is included on these home-base Wednesdays!
On travel days, campers will divide into small groups for our fun-filled days based on their age and interests. Whether your child is 8 or 15 years old, this is a great place to meet friends and enjoy adventures which take them to all the places they dream of going. This is an extremely popular and very unique camp where "we know your name," and know how to spend our summer days to the fullest!
We have Marin's best, most fun and highly experienced camp counselors led by Jean Marc Schafer, rounding out the Adventure Camp experience. Our core summer counselor staff are ALL returning for another amazing summer: Sandrick, Jeff, and Jenny are excited to get their summer on! Are you?
Just ask the kids that return year after year (including most of the counselors who were once our campers) how much they LOVE this camp!
*Please pick up children promptly by the time stated on the schedule. On Fridays, please pick up your child at 1pm at the COM pool*

**PERMISSION SLIPS (some trips require an extra permission slip) MUST be completed and in our office AT LEAST 1 WEEK prior to your child attending camp.**
Bring a snack, sunscreen and a lunch except on Wednesdays, and field trip days where lunch is included (see calendar).
Trips subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
