Introduction to Good Manners

If your child has never attended an etiquette class, this is the one-time workshop not to miss, for your child to gain the basics to self-introductions, handshaking, eye contact, and other tips on attending parties with or without parents. An introduction to basic table manners, from start to finish, including a 3-course tutorial dinner.

Syndi Seid is a graduate of The Protocol School of Washington. She has appeared on "Good Morning America", KRON, KPIX, KGO, KTVU and KQED.
Parents are encouraged to enroll with their child (one parent per child), although kids may enroll without a parent.
Check-in is at 3:45pm with the seminar starting promptly at 4pm.

Girls Middle School Field Hockey Clinic (April)

Ross Recreation is hosting a middle school field hockey clinic designed for players of all skill levels, including those new to the sport. Our goal is to teach basic skills and game fundamentals while having fun scrimmaging and being active.

**Players are encouraged to participate in both sessions (spanning four separate weekends), however, can also sign up for only one.**

This is a great opportunity for players to gain exposure to field hockey, as they think about what sports to pursue in high school. Field hockey is a new NCS team sport to many North Bay high schools, which means more girls have the chance to make a high school team and build lasting friendships! The clinic will be led by coach Aline Copp. Aline is a former Harvard University NCAA Division I varsity field hockey player and is currently coaching at the high school level in Marin.

Required Equipment:
-mouth guard
-shin guards (soccer ones are acceptable)
-running shoes (turf shoes or cleats are acceptable footwear)
-plenty of water and a bar/snack
-field hockey sticks and balls will be provided
Note: all players MUST have a mouth guard AND shin guards or they will NOT be allowed to participate. Clinic is open to girls in 6th 7th or 8th grades. **Space is limited to the first 24 players*

Learn to Code: Game Design with Fusion

Ross Rec is offering a coding and game design course this spring for kids! Students will use the program Multimedia Fusion to create their own 2D Platform game. Levels will be fully designed from background to characters and then programmed using a series of if/then statements. The final product will be a fully functional game with lives, enemies, and goals. This 10 week class will be taught by Ross School's Media Integration Teacher, Lucas Leonardo.

If you can't decide which sport you like the most, than Top Gun Sports Camp is the camp for you. You don't need to pick baseball over soccer, flag football over dodgeball, basketball over lacrosse or swimming; we have them all and you can play nonstop in this unique camp that is a sporty kid's dream. Adding to the summer fun is a Wednesday sports-themed excursion!

Week 1- Bowling AMF in Petaluma
Week 2- No Camp Day (4th of July)
Week 3- Driven Raceway (lunch included)
Week 4- Bladium
Week 5- Rebounderz
Week 6- Oakland A's Game Camp Day Event

Our counselors are top athletes! Zac Neiman, our returning lead counselor for Top Gun Sports Camp, along with his team will keep the fun rolling all six weeks long!

Play all week, then cool down at the College of Marin pool on Fridays. Pick up is at 1pm at COM on Fridays.

Wear sunscreen. Bring a water bottle, snack and lunch (when lunch is not included, see calendar).

Trips are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.

Giants Basketball Camp Boys & Girls

Join the BEST basketball coaches in Marin located at Redwood High School for Giants Basketball Camp! Girls and boys grades 2-8 are welcome. Campers will be divided into groups based on grade and skill level. The focus of this camp will be on basketball and personal development. We will focus on positive attitude, energy, teamwork, dribbling, ball handling, shooting, rebounding, passing, 1-on-1 moves, post moves, and "defense, defense, and more defense." Each day will consist of skill development and competitive games.
Lunch may be purchased on campus ($35/week or $10/day).
The daily drop-in is $50/day.

Junior League Tennis (Real Balls) is for players who have graduated from the modified quick start levels. Kids practice once a week to work on team play and doubles and singles strategy, and then play matches on Fridays versus other Marin County teams. This league is ideal for players who want to eventually play high school tennis of for those who just want to enjoy the game.
Optional Registration Choices: $120 for 1 week practices only, or $110 for weekly matches only.

Tennis Green Dot Ball Jr. Team Ages 9-12

GreenDot Ball-Junior Team Tennis is the next transition from red Ball Tennis. Kids aged 9-12 play full court with slightly modified balls. This transition allows kids to rally with balls that are very similar to the real thing but are smaller and less bouncy than regulation tennis balls. Kids have a team practice once a week and play matches on Fridays versus other Marin County teams. Match schedule will be determined just prior to season for exact match dates and locations. Confirmation with coach regarding appropriate level of play for matches is required.
Optional Registration Choices: $260 for matches and practices or $160 practices only/$140 matches only.

Practice Time/Day: Wednesday at the Ross Town Courts: 3:40-4:40 (No practice 4/11)
