Play Production With Marin Theatre Company

Instructor: Marin Theatre Company
10 weeks
Who says you need the stage lights to be in the spotlight? This studio production of Nessie and the Terrible Troll led by Marin Theatre Company's professional teaching artists will not include lights, or scenery- instead, it will focus solely on developing the acting skills of the participants. There will be a performance on the last day of class for family and friends. (Costumes optional, provided by parents)
About the Show: Sean is a boy who wants to meet Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster. Awk-Awk is a seal who wants to find his lost ball. A mischievous mermaid wants to get back her comb, stolen by the ghosts of Viking pirates. When a troll decides to drain the loch, these three must join forces to save Nessie's habitat. Girls Field Hockey 1-Day Clinic

Instructor: Aline Copp
Ross Recreation is offering a middle school girl’s field hockey camp designed for players of all skill levels, including those new to the sport. This is a great opportunity for players to gain exposure to field hockey, as they think about what sports to pursue in high school. Field hockey is a new NCS team sport to many North Bay high schools (including Tam, Drake, Redwood & MC), which means more girls have the chance to make a high school team and build lasting friendships! The camp will be led by coach Aline Copp and will focus on teaching basic skills and game fundamentals while having fun scrimmaging and being active. Aline is a former Harvard University NCAA Division I varsity field hockey player and is currently coaching at the high school level in Marin.

Required Equipment:
• mouth guard
• shin guards (soccer ones are acceptable)
• running shoes (turf shoes or cleats are acceptable footwear)
• plenty of water and a bar/snack
• field hockey sticks and balls will be provided

Note: all players MUST have a mouth guard AND shin guards or they will NOT be allowed to participate.

Clinic is open to girls entering 6th 7th 8th and 9th grades.
